YSR AarogyaSri
YSR AarogyaSri is a government scheme for financially weak families. It covers a wide range of illnesses including hospitalisation, out-patient care, and follow-up procedures. This programme also offers coverage for pre-existing conditions, which is a feature that most commercial health insurance plans lack. It can be accessed by beneficiaries in a cashless manner at health fairs and network hospitals.
Initially, the YSR AarogyaSri scheme was designed to provide financial aid to families living below the poverty line in Andhra Pradesh. However, it has since evolved into a comprehensive health insurance scheme that benefits thousands of families. Its aims are to improve access to quality healthcare for low-income families and reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses. It has a unique PPP model and is managed by a governing board.
Eligibility for YSR AarogyaSri includes families with annual incomes of up to Rs 5 lakh. It also covers families with white ration cards and those who are part of the Antodaya Anna Yojana. In addition, the programme is open to workers in outsourcing, contract labour, and honoraria-based jobs. Moreover, families who own less than 35 acres of wet and dry land are eligible for the programme.
If you are interested in enrolling, the first step is to check your eligibility. You can do this by visiting the official website or contacting the gram ward Sachivalayam portal. You should also have all necessary supporting documents. Once you are sure that you are eligible, visit the nearest YSR Aarogyasri enrollment centre or Aarogyamitra centre. Fill out all of the relevant information and submit the required documents. Once your documents have been verified, a YSR AarogyaSri card will be issued to you.
